O.L.D. Engineering Never had it ‘Show’ Good

O.L.D. Engineering have been out on the road exhibiting at two of the top UK Engineering trade shows in May and June 2017.

MADE IN THE MIDLANDS

The Leicestershire based engineering supplier took the opportunity in May to join over 2,000 decision makers from the Midlands Engineering & Manufacturing supply chain, OEM purchasing teams and 200 exhibitors at the Made in the Midlands Exhibition 2017.

Some of the biggest names from the Automotive, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Medical sectors were in attendance including Jaguar Land Rover, Ricoh PLC, Mahle Powertrain, GKN, Sertec, Gestamp, Autins Group, Cab Automotive and hundreds of others. It was an extremely hot day at the event which was held at the RICOH Arena but despite the soaring temperature the event was a roaring success, with lots of valuable new connections being made with potential buyers, a variety of suppliers and even some training providers offering funded Apprenticeship training.

SUBCON 2017

The engineering supplier also exhibited at Subcon 2017 at the NEC in Birmingham. Now in its 42nd year, Subcon is one of the UK’s key manufacturing supply chain shows dedicated to subcontract and outsourced engineering services.

This is the must attend event for subcontract manufacturing buyers from all industry sectors, to source suppliers, benchmark capabilities, and secure contracts in order to remain competitive in a global market. Subcon event director Gordon Kirk said: “To succeed in volatile and keenly competitive markets, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on what they do best. This means working with subcontract manufacturing partners who are experts at what they do, have access to the latest technology and possess unique know-how.”

O.L.D. Engineering Joint Managing Director Don Doman added, “Subcon was so successful in terms of networking and meeting new, potential, business partners, we have already reserved our stand for next year’s event.”
